What is acupressure?
Acupressure is often called acupuncture without the needles. Instead of needles, manual pressure is applied to specific points on the body.
According to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, the body has invisible lines of energy called meridians that flow throughout the body, these points lie along the meridians.
Energy (also called "chi" or "qi") runs along the meridians. When the natural flow of qi is disrupted a person can experience a variety of health conditions such as pain, headache, poor digestion, hormonal imbalance and even challenging emotions.
